To know Jesus and to make him known.
To know Jesus and to make him known.
Time to Revive South Carolina is based on the National Time to Revive mission to equip the Saints for
the return of Christ (timetorevive.com). Time to Revive brings believers together across denominational lines
in each community and inspires them to obey the Great Commission to go in the
power of the Holy Spirit and make disciples.
ReviveSC brings believers together across denominational lines, inspiring them to obey the Great Commission to go in the power of the Holy Spirit and make disciples. As a part of our discipleship and evangelism ministry, we train believers to move outside the church walls to reach their community. For many, this is a very new experience!
ReviveSC training is very hands-on and participatory. Our outreach to the community is always done in teams led by an experienced leader.
Each team member will have a job based on their experience and comfort level. The group consists of an evangelist, intercessors, and a scribe. The evangelist will take the lead in speaking with people. The intercessor will stand back and pray for the person in the encounter. The scribe will take any notes on the encounter, for example, recording names & contact information if the encountered person wishes followup.
Core team member Gracie reflects on her experiences with ReviveSC:
"ReviveSC has helped me come out of a “comfort zone”. It encourages us as believers to go ahead and approach people to see if they need prayer, then share the gospel with them. The team approach makes it simple. You know you are not alone, so you are more willing to share or pray. Prayer before going out in teams is so important and prepares our hearts and the people's hearts. The Lord normally gives scriptures to share with the group. Everyone is invited to say a short “popcorn” prayer, as we call it. There is so much excitement when we all return to share how the Holy Spirit moved through each team."
It is our desire that praying and sharing the gospel with people that we encounter throughout our days will happen much more than just one Saturday per month. We encourage you to make it a part of your lifestyle!
This is the season of giving thanks to the Lord! We thank Him for who He is in our lives and what He has done through His shed blood to give us new life in Christ Jesus. ReviveSC is taking time to gather together for prayer and to seek God’s direction.
We realize the urgency of the time to share Jesus’ love before His return. Our hearts’ desire is that many brothers and sisters in Christ throughout South Carolina will also feel the Lord’s calling to be more active in sharing the Gospel, and to encourage and disciple others in our communities. The core team has met for prayer and outreach at several locations in the Midlands during the fall. We invited the ReviveSC mailing list to join us on the third Saturday of the month.
We know that God calls us to seek His presence daily in our lives individually. We also believe that He calls us to corporately seek Him for His Kingdom purposes. The ReviveSC leadership team has gathered together through prayer calls, zoom calls, in-person prayer, devotion, and fellowship each month. We are now asking the Lord to show us His will for South Carolina in the coming year. Please join us in prayer!
We look forward to opportunities to love, listen, discern and respond to those we meet during divine moments in our daily life.
We eagerly expect the opportunity to pray, worship, train and go out in Evangelism teams with ReviveSC.
We pray that various churches or Christian ministries throughout our state will seek out Evangelism and Discipleship training.
Please contact us at southcarolinarevive@gmail.com if you would like more information or desire to join us at ReviveSC events.
Discipleship Dictionary Definition: the condition or situation of being a disciple, a follower, or a student of some philosophy, especially a follower of Christ.
A disciple is a learner. Christ's followers learned from private teachings, listening to Jesus’ public teaching, observing His ministry work with people, and then going out and teaching about Jesus on their own.
Discipleship is defined as followers of Christ who then teach what they have learned. After you become a follower of Jesus, it’s time to go and share what you’ve learned.

How can we make learning and sharing about Jesus OUR lifestyle?
In his book, The Greater Work, Bill Wilks says “In many churches today, intentional evangelism does not exist. No one is being discipled to share his or her faith. However, to be a true disciple-maker you must unite evangelism and discipleship into one process. You can do evangelism without being a disciple-maker, but you can’t be a disciple-maker without doing evangelism.
Disciple-making is our supreme purpose in life. It's our greater work.
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
